Hello everyone,

I'm building George's B.A.T. Monoplane dimer and so far it pretty straight forward.  But I'm unclear on how the brace at the wing tip is fixed.  The plan shows a 1/16" sq. brace from the last rib to the wing tip formers.  Has anyone else built this?  Does the brace simply butt to the lower edge of the rib and then lay on the under surface of the wing tip former?  Then sand a fair taper into it?  I don't have a pic of this with me, but I can post one later if necessary.

thanks,
Mike

Sorry, didn’t see this!  I just covered my wing tip, so no pix. I ran the 1/16” piece that slants back from the top of the last rib to the top edge of the wing tip sections. . I ran it right to the edge and just rounded it off. Makes it much easier to cover the top of the wing.

I can get you a picture of the wing tip, although you have likely already finished the plane.

It’s a very nice kit.

Hi Dohrm,

Thanks, I got it worked out.  Great kit.  Mine flew like gangbusters right off the board.  Good luck with yours!
