Hello everyone, my name is Piotr Tendera and I am involved in the production of modeling rocket propulsion systems in particular for sport / competition.
Thanks to the persuasion of my European colleagues, I have been thinking about producing "Rapier" engines for some time.
So I decided to set up a topic in this forum.
I started by preparing the smallest L1 class engines, below I send a diagram of the L1 engine and a link to the video on youtube.
I hope that my fellow US modelers will be interested in my products.
Soon, the offer of "Rapier" drives will be expanded to include more powerful units.
I give technical parameters of the offered L1 drive.
Diameter 10mm
Leght 35mm
Full weight 4.6g
Empty weight 1.6g
mid. 0.045N pulse

This is great news. Have you investigated the restrictions on importing these motors into the US and UK?

Hello.
I will gladly answer any questions via the email address [email protected].
I invite you.

Another good product is available.
This is the "Rapier" L4 with a long work cycle.

burn time 27sec.
full weight 21g
empty weight 8,5g.
diameter 15mm
leght 80mm
total imp. 12Ns
medimum imp. 0,42N

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTcC_QVMuWQ

It is the strongest "Rapier" type unit currently in production plans.
Soon more intermediate powers of "Rapier" L type Drives.
Best regards,
Piotr

ps.
Engine work chart, unfortunately, not full.
The software of my workshop at this moment does not have the measurement function for more than 20 seconds.
But new software is being prepared.

Yess V interesting.. BUT the real question is: How many $ ..  to buy one in North America?
Not finding much (any) info on that... so far.
I have a couple of Rapier models ready for reuse.. but Only if the motors are practical / affordable.

Hi Fred,
You can contact me (the manufacturer) regarding the purchase of drives in North America.
I encourage other interested parties to contact me via email.

Hello everyone,

after a short break, I have news for you, now our engines have CE certification and thanks to the cooperation with Klima companies from Germany,
it will soon go to modeling stores throughout Europe.

I also invite companies from outside the European Union to cooperate with me.

More details can be found on our partner Jetex.org website https://jetex.org/index.php/blog/119-hello-from-terry-kid

Best wishes for all,
Piotr Tendera

Agreed.

I think there's a possibility that such a low energy/long burning propellant could be devised, for example Richard Nakka's website is very informative in that regard. I could see developing a propellant reload that would be suitable for Jetex-style propulsion, and even maybe reverse-compatible with old-skool Jetex cases.

With that said, from a commercial standpoint, setting up a shop just to service the Jetex community would be - probably not worth it. I'd think that developing the propellant formulation, grain design, and reload layout ... and then bringing that to Estes (or AeroTech, or Loki) might be the way to go, since they already have the regulatory compliance infrastructure (and bsuiness overhead) in place.

Also, all of that work could be made public domain, and then adventurous hobbyists could "roll their own." Which is not a trivial endeavor.

Anyone got a rich buddy who wants to piss away a couple million bucks? I'm only half-joking.

Best-
Dave

This is one of those things that you could do where you'd probably end up with a small fortune.  If you started with a large one.

It'll take some entity in the US to deal with the hassle of importing these, and being ready, one way or another, to deal with all of the liability and regulatory issues (not to mention "your product started a fire that burned 100 square miles issues -- which is, unfortunately, a thing in the Western states these days).

I'm not sure you could even (legally) get a foot in the door in states that ban fireworks, unless you make sure it fits that state's definition of a model rocket.

Hi Everyone,

now the residents of the European Union can order TSP motors from the Klima Company:
https://www.raketenmodellbau-klima.de/TSP-m13.htm?shop=raketenklima&SessionId=&a=marke&Hersteller=13

As for countries outside the EU, for the time being, the sale is not possible, as soon as something changes, I will inform you.

Regards for all,
Piotr Tendera
