Could someone please advise me what throttle-equipped 20FS engines are available? I can't seem to find any.
thanks

Today there are none commercially available 3.5cc four cycle engines other than the HP 21VT or HP 25VT from Mecoa in southern California.
(MECOA, where old engine brands go to die http://www.mecoa.com )

There use to be the low power OS 20FS and the much more powerful OS Surpass 26. Sanye had a 30 four stroke. I think Thunder Tiger also had one

The key to getting any power from the HP VT series of engine was to use very high nitro (very poor combustion chamber shape) Also spin it a high rpm like over 12K on the ground. Not an issue with this rotary valve engine, unlike poppet valve engines.

All the best,
Konrad

Yes I figured this and that the cool sound and nice throttling would be your aim - you may find a secondhand one on the net

Asp, Magnum and a host of other brands where just re-marketed Sanye engines. The force behind these Sanye engines recently retiered. There is no business model to support continuation of these motors. For a long time it was basicaly just a hobby for this older gentleman.

In the secondary market, old used four cycle engine are problematic as they are often subjected to a lot a corrosion. It is a problem for well cared four cycle engine. And corrosion is an unbelievable problem for garage and attic finds. Unless there is a 100% buy back program avoid the used market for four cycle toy engines.

All the best,
