Hi All
Here is the notice I have just put up on the BMFA Website.

As a result of the Corona Virus, Covid 19, the BMFA Scale Technical Committee have taken the action to cancel all outdoor Radio Control and Free Flight competitions.  It is to comply with the Government guide lines and the following actions have been agreed by the STC.
All regular monthly Scale RC competitions are cancelled.
All Scale Free Flight competitions are cancelled.
A decision regarding the Indoor Scale Nationals is pending
The STC will continue to monitor the situation and will advise through the scale.bmfa.org website, BMFA Scale Face Book group and email lists, once the C 19 Pandemic has passed, when the remaining contest calendar can be restarted.  It may also be possible to re-instate some cancelled dates later on into the autumn / winter.
We regret the disruption to the competition season, but we must do this to be sensible and protect the mainly ageing demographic of many scale modellers and also comply with government guidelines.  It is not the necessarily the issue of flying together, but one of the travel to and from and the social interaction at petrol stations, cafes etc.
We will keep you posted as the situation develops and hope to restart the competition calendar as soon as it is sensible to do so.  If you have not already done so, please subscribe on the scale.bmfa.org website and you will receive an email when the situation changes, as well as receiving other scale news updates.
The BMFA Contest & Events Calendar (ConEvCal) has been updated to show the cancelled competitions.  The BMFA Competition Secretary has said that the BMFA ConEvCal is the primary source for competition information.

I don’t see you had any alternative and I appreciate the Indoor Nats isa difficult one as it is scheduled to happen quite soon.  So credit to STC I think.
