I'm sure nobody will be surprised to hear this, but it is very unlikely that the Dreaming Spires Free Flight Rally will happen this year.   I'd say that running it would be negligent given the current situation and demographic of most of the competitors.

Watch this space; I'll post here when the official announcement is made.

Lets hope a return to normality allows us to run a decent autumn event.

Disappointed, but not surprised.  Looking on the bright side it does mean I can concentrate on the Mooney cook-up and put my topp sekret projeckt on the back burner without feeling guilty about it.

Laurence

I have put a cancelled notice onto the scale.bmfa.org calendar for you.
Also checked the main BMFA calendar and that has now been totally removed and has this notice.
"The BMFA Contest & Event Calendar is closed until public gatherings are permitted again".

I've seriously considered some form of ferry service from the park and ride... its an option.  But not for 900 entrants possibly.

It won't be a huge surprise that we have now officially called the Dreaming Spires off.

Cancelled or merely postponed?

Cancelled.  You have to apply to run a meeting 6 to 8 weeks in advance. So there's not much chance of rescheduling it.
