A couple more - the pics had '24 April 1994' on the back - Lindsey Smith I think - me with a Koutny Martinsyde (AeroModeller plan) which went really well till I said to Chris Hutchinson: Hey look at this! And of course it zoomed to 25 feet, stalled, and plummeted. And a couple of Doug McHard models.

Great pics, Tim. Is that Gary Mayes himself with the Comte I wonder? I’ve only met him once so am no sure. I’m sure Andrew Boddington at AeroModeller would like to see those first two photos as the Comte plan reissue is imminent.

Great photos, Tim  Smiley

I know that the guy in the third photo was on the cover of the Aeromodeller holding a Bristol M.1 .... his name eludes me.

The photos with the Comte struck me as Ian Pallister originally, but I don't think so now.

This could lead to a wander through some old Aeromodellers again!

Could it possibly be Andrew Hewitt launching the Triplane?

Yes I think Colin is right - beautiful models - on the heavy side as he said they were painted with automotive rattle cans. Stately flights due to large size. And yes I think Andrew Hewitt is right. Feels like a long time ago!! I remember we all had to clear the runway at one point as a full size Spitfire came in to land.

I don't have any recall of the Comte flyer's name now - but happy to send some better scans if they are useful.

I believe the Comte gentleman... from 1994... may be a fellow by the name Paul Hair.
I came to this remarkable discovery when I carefully removed the photos from the album so I could scan them better. And whatdya know? One of them had the name written on the back!
