Pete Iliffe is a very good friend of mine and builds museum quality models. And flies them!
Here is his DFW B1 in flight.
28" span, powered by KP01 electric motor.

Yes ... that does look quite remarkable. Beautiful plane, too!

I wonder if Lee Hines (Sweepette) is familiar with those wings. Even his sport craft sorta look like that.

Hi Bill,

How is Pete?

Does he have a functional computer yet?

Here's the lad himself, hurling his Fokker Spinne into the blue at Peterborough 3 years ago. C02 powered with a GM120, it flies on rails. He's got a pistachio version for indoor flying with a G10 motor.

I have a good few shots of Peter's models flying too.
I hope that Bill doesn't mind me posting on this thread .. but it is the most logical place for them.

Here's one from the recent Peterborough Flying Aces meeting. His Siemens Schuckert (sp?) was flying well, but the Peterborough guys like to shift the rules about to make things interesting - unfortunately Pete hadn't brought his documentation that was required on this occasion, so the model was not placed as high as it could have been.

Here is a shot of his Spinne taken in the early morning sun at Old Warden in May.

Looking through some of BillB and Dan G's old and early posts on this forum, I had a look through this thread ... sad to see just how long ago some of the key members of this forum were lost. Heartwarming to see the respect shown by the forum founders   Smiley
