I have a Vic Smead Tomboy (36" span) with a brushless motor and an FF-1 free flight timer, and a 2 cell li-po battery. I have some right thrust built into the motor. The plane flies beautifully under power, with a nice left circle. However, as soon as the power is off, the plane straightens out, glides nicely, and I walk a long time to pick it up. It has an adjustable rudder, and if I give it just a tad of right rudder, the power climb is virtually straight. If I give it a tad of left rudder, it will spiral into the ground on launch. (BTW a "tad" is just a teeny bit.)

I really like the plane. Would a bit of weight on a wingtip help? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

It doesn't make sense that it flies left under power, but adding left rudder tab straightens it out. Can you clarify that?
No, no wing tip weights, or wing tabs. Are the flying surfaces warp-free?

Sorry, you're right. I had the left/right trim circumstances reversed. I've fixed it. Thanks!
