Hello All,
Been following an article on Free Flight public group on Facebook and the guys are building a model called Climbmax. It is different with a built up wing, has anyone here built and flown one. What’s it like.
Thanks Wayne.

If you mean 'Climax' as designed by Dusty Miller and flown by him and Sue Allsop ...... it's a very good power model of its time..

Yes I have-they're good....providing you've a decent arm on you....at 24" span they're fairly large by 'conventional' (ie not tip launch) HLG standards....i built two in the 80s...they glide well...lost one and broke the fuselge on t'other at the DT pivot point....I think it still languishes in a box in the garage. If memory serves correctly it was an NFFS 'HLG of the year' sometime in the 80s.....and you don't get that without having a good contest pedigree....

ffkiwi thanks for the reply. I like the look of them in pictures I’ve seen and fancy building one, but just wondered what they was like before getting the wood out.
Cheers Wayne.
