I've recently acquired a Forester 29 and it is pretty well frozen. I'm leaning toward the transmission fluid in a cheap slow cooker method, but one question:

Should I try to disassemble the points assembly? (any reason to or not to) or, just dunk the whole smash and let sit for a day or three?
