Comet Curtiss Wright Coupe Dime Scale Build

I have been looking for a Dime Scale that I have not seen built. This Curtis Wright Coupe caught my eye. It is a pretty little model with a swept back wing and nice looking cabin. So I went for it.
I was able to trace the plans using DraftSite CAD program and make the parts from the traced plan. George Bredehoft from Volare laser cut the model for me and I built it. (Look for a short kit coming soon!!) Model built very quickly and to my surprise flew right off the board. I designed and printed the tissue patterns for it on Easybuilt light tissue. I flew it today in 19deg 5-7mph wind and achieved a 21sec flight (Only because I put in 800 winds and didn't want to chase it across multiple snow covered softball fields). The model has way more potential than this and I look forward to flying it indoors to finalize any trim it needs and give it a proper winding and wood prop it deserves.
Flight used a scrapped skeeter 5.5 in prop on a 14in loop of 3/32" rubber. Model ready to fly weighs in at 11grams minus rubber motor.
Enjoy,

Good evening. Thanks for the kind words. I drew and printed the tissue on an Epson 7710 inkjet using durabrite ink. I think it turned out good. I have modified the patterns to lighten up the color.

Thanks for the kind words. The fillets were my 1st on and indoor model. They did brace the wing joint nicely.
