Hi guys:  I’m looking for the best lubricant for P-30’s using
4 to 6 strands of 1/8” Tan from FAI Model
Supply.  I heard the an Aerospace lubricant
Called (I Think) Dow 33.  I definitely don’t want
Will drop off and affect the interior of the Fuselage.
Sincerely,
Jon B. Shereshaw

I used Sil-Slick (FAI model supply - silicone lubricant) and Armorall in the past and have been using Dow 33 Molykote (light grade) for the last 7-8 years. The Dow product seems to splatter much less than the other two I used. I just re-covered a Wakefield which I've had for those 7-8 years and although the insides had some Dow 33 residue, it wasn't bad at all, and definitely not at a level that it would compromise the structure. I just ordered my second tube, and the first one still has a couple years' worth of lube in it at my pace. So my vote would be for Dow 33.
