1936 Dehavilland DH87B Hornet Moth on floats

Bought these plans from Dave in 1996 I think...been 'saving' them until technology got small enough...a 80 gram bywing  on floats? Does this setup sound doable? A BR1806 motor, couple of micro aileron servos, and my new micro brick???

I will build her as Dave did....nice and lightweight......

Very doable with the correct size battery. Why to fake IC look?

Tim, I've been finishing up a build, 3ch Yankee from Volare products...and I had some 'bones' that I put tissue on...stuff.... 
I've got her on my soon list, Dave Reeves did a beautiful plane....as were all of his....I DO want to build her! But I think electric 3ch....super lite stuff....the rubber jobs are so hard to run after!

Yeah, Dave Rees drafted some outstanding large FF plans.  I have a copy of his Vega drawings around here somewhere that I really ought to build.

The Hornet Moth as both an airplane and a Rees plan rates among my favourites.  On further reflection on the RC Hornet Moth I started as an adaptation of another plan, I think I’m going to bin the project now and do it the right way some day.  The Rees plan adapted to 3ch electric or scaled up a bit for 4ch would be a lovely calm evening flyer.
