Getting there with the 18 " Poppet for rubber, the flying surfaces need shrinking and doping, and some more trim needs to be added, but light at the end of the tunnel now.

Tracing the original plan at 60%, the Jackdaw II.VI is coming along ... if only as a drawing. I will be simplifying things as the original structure is quite fine to suit the non balsa construction. I will try and keep the overall look quite true to the original.

Wow .... the highlighter pen coming out before some of us have cut balsa!
It does make a pretty little model  Smiley

That’s just lovely, Kevin. Looks as though it was born to be a rubber model too.

Agreed but wouldn't a tiny little fake scaled down Dart glued on the nose look great - or a full sized Bambi for that matter!

Would help with the C.G. too. Actually the original plan was to make a dummy ED Baby, but I quite liked the looks without. Might yet do it though...

My redraw of the Jackdaw II is coming along ... I hope to be cutting balsa before too long.
I have changed and simplified things a little, but I think the character of the original is still there.
As usual, I go a bit mad on fillets Roll Eyes
The different views on the plan are all drawn at slightly different angles .... the elevation to plan has been catching me out, but it's only half a degree so if I have made the odd mistake it shouldn't show too much!

Nice looking jackdaw. Now I'm a bit envious....

SuperSkyRocket coming along slowly.

Whats not to like about those curves...

Here is the obligatory bare bones pic. Remember, it is only 12" span!
