Presumably, if you wanted to put a radio type switch in the circuit to disarm it all, you could put it in the battery positive wire?

As I understand it: either the negative or the positive - ie just breaking the circuit. But the in the negative wire is more common practice.

If just disconnecting then you need to be aware of not shorting the battery (with some connector types.)
