The Free Flight quarterly No. 71  April 2019 had an excellent article about George Schroedter's kits.

His original Wake-Up Wakefield kit had a flat-bottom airfoil.
The article mentions that George sent out a printed sheet
showing the suggested undercamber for the straight and
diagonal ribs.

Does anyone have one of the printed sheets?  All I need is
a scan of sheet.

I will be documenting the Wake-Up build for my Duration
column in Model Aviation. If you built a Wake-up I would
like to hear your thoughts about the design and construction
of the kit.

Thanks,

Louis

Hi Louis,
I can't help with your request for rib information I'm afraid. However, could I just hijack your mail for a moment to ask if anyone has a scan of the Wake-Up sufficient for me to build one?
I'd like to build a wooden wake for the occasional use in the UK club league, the "Plugge Cup". Yes I know that I should build a Tilka but I'd much rather build a Wake-Up, much prettier to my eyes.
Hope you get your rib info from someone rather more useful than me!

Gavin I've got a kit tucked away somewhere I think-but I'm not sure the plan is with it. I'm on holiday at present so can't confirm yea or nay until after next weekend.

It wouldn't be too difficult to build one from the reduced plan in that FFQ article. No wood sizes are given but experience should put you in the right ballpark.

Hi Chris,
Enjoy your holiday and I'll look forward to whatever you've got when you're back home.
Thanks
Gavin

"experience should put you in the right ballpark."
Ron
Problem is Ron I've got absolutely no experience building wooden F1Bs or indeed any sort of F1B! Seriously, I'd just like to build a wooden wake without having to design it as I go along. Nice and relaxed, it's even got a flat bottomed wing :-)
Best

Gavin I've just emailed you via other means-however should you not see it first, then I'm home from holiday and the good news is-having located the WakeUp kit, it does have both the plan and instructions, which I can copy if you still want them.
