1 - David Lovegrove's Chopstick 2 - David Lovegrove's foamie Kawanishi (George) from Andy Blackburn's plan 3 - John Price's RC version of the VMC SE5a 4 - John Whatmore's build of the Preston Frogwell Flyer (Squirrelnet photo) 5,6 - Lee Bates' Boulton-Paul Defiant
I believe that the Frogwell Flyer will be made available as a free plan in AeroModeller at some point.

Trinity today.... Not many snaps from me today, busy trying (and not really succeeding) to get my Walsall candidates fettled.
1,2 Barry Dunkley is now the custodian of Rich Moore's Tridecker. He's *probably* going to convert it to electric power.
A couple from Mick Langford 3, 4 A "Ring Wing". Mick worked this up from a photograph. Yes, it does fly! 5,6 West Wings Puss Moth.

Mike Stuart's entry for Open at Walsall, Blackburn Dart. Interwar torpedo bomber. Mike was fettling the glide today, Trinity's too small to fly something this size, and it looks very promising.

1,2 Peter Brown's build of the VMC Tiggie. Printed tissue & 33g without motor & noseweight. 3,4 Richard Preston's Phantom Flash (Chameleon) MK II, completely failing to blend into the background.

The Peter Smart Show 1 -3 inc. Blohm & Voss 222 (Viking). Six motors! Peter has tested it in the big blue* room, and reports initial results are good. 4, 5 Civilian Courier. According to Peter, this was the only aircraft the company ever manufactured and it only made half a dozen or so. A "peanut" by virtue of fuselage length. About 14g without rubber & ballast. It was flying fairly well by the end of the session. I have some newsreel which will be winging it's way to Chris for inclusion in this month's round-up. Film at eleven. *Which has mostly been wet, grey and downright miserable on our sea girt lump of rock since, err, umm, ahh, about September last year.

On a personal front I finally got the DH60x to somewhere where I want it though it suffered a couple more blown motors in the process.
It's looking tatty now so I'll recover and repaint the fuselage sides this week ahead of the Nats next weekend

There's a video here now of some of the flights/trimming . With Walsall and the UK Nats just a week away trimming was the theme of the day https://youtu.be/LzajP19J0Rk

Trinity today and, despite close to perfect conditions for flying out of doors in the southern parts of the island, a cadre of hardened types selflessly endured cool air conditioned comfort to ensure that indoor flying is a year round activity. Enough drivel from me, pictures!
1, 2 GM's build of a Dr. Reiner Gaggl design featuring the GM07 motor. 3 John Holman turned up with this. It hasn't got a name yet, but it was showing signs of flying. 4,5 John Holman's & my VMC Buddies. You may not believe it, but these make great little indoor fun flyers.

1-3 John Scates' Nasise Bristol Scout, about 31g inc. motor & nose weight so probably about 26-27g built weight.. Survived today's trimming, but still WIP. The finish is spray painted. Good innit? 4. Mick Langford's VMC MK I Spitfire. With new port wing. Weight's crept up from 39.5 to a fraction over 40g following the repair work.

1,2 Mick Langford's Flutterbye ornithopter. Nick Peppiatt's been flying one of these for a while now and Mick couldn't resist. 3,4 Mick Langford's West Wings DH Puss Moth. Flies very nicely. Got some newsreel which I'll try & sort out. 5,6 Speaking of Nick. Nick regularly flies his PuddleBug. Perfect for indoor RC, stooges around in the most leisurely manner.

1, 2 Nick Peppiatt's Living Room Stick Insect. A Brian Kenny design. Nick was getting 4'25" on 1,500 turns of a 0.025" (0.3g) Tan II Super Sport motor. 3 Roger Butler's BMFA Dart. Good fun. 4 Roger Butler's & John Foster's Ikara Antoinnettes. Reliable fliers these 5, 6. One from Reg Bees and I quote, "Not a clue."

2,3 Pistachio Bristol Scout CO2 4,5 Umm. I've forgotten. Sorry. Answers on a postcard to... Whatever it was it was being wilful.

1, 2 Richard Preston's foam WotHo. A David Lovegrove plan I think. 3, 4 Richard Prestons' Tomahawk Embryo 5,6 Rob Smith's foam WotHo. These are, deservedly, quite popular at Trinity I think there's 5 or 6 of them and they all fly well.

And finally... 1,2 Rob Smith's 120% RC Frog Tomtit. Nice slow flier. 3-6 Steve Haines' Veron Comper Swift, Charles De Gaulle at the controls.
Newsreel courtesy of Squirrelnet Video Arts & Post Production Facilities will be available at some point.

Thanks very much Chris. Much breezier than I expected from the forecast and for some reason at about 28-30s in the song, "The Raggle Taggle Gypsies Oh" sprang to mind.

Thanks very much Chris. Much breezier than I expected from the forecast and for some reason at about 28-30s in the song, "The Raggle Taggle Gypsies Oh" sprang to mind. A very nice session on the Meadow where the morning was one of light drift across the field, and a flyaway took 3 1/2 minutes to nearly reach the river from the centre. There were a number of gliders in the 36" class but surprisingly, most were scale. Unsurprisingly the most promising were the ones without pointy wings. My Schweizer flew well every other go but with such an extreme planform it tends to go where it wants and takes a long time to settle down if things go awry.

Thanks for the reports and pics Chris and Lurks.
Lurks and I conversed about the Buddy being a suitable model for indoor flying. I had my doubts, but both he and John Seem to have got them flying really nicely, it’s very good to see!
