Horten Ho IX Sloper

Description:	162 cm Wingspan (~63.75 in) File includes DXF and PDF. Specifications of the PSS Horten Ho IX V2 A Power Scale Soaring model is a slope glider reproducing a powered aircraft. It is flown on a slope when the wind produces good lift. Usually these models have a somewhat high wing loading and have equally high drag. Wingsections: Horten III 15% at the root, evolving to Horten III 13% thickness at the point where the trailing edge becomes straight, to a symmetrical Horten 10% with 4 degrees washout at the tip. Construction: The wing is built up with poplar ply ribs and covered with balsa sheet. The outer wing panels are cut from foam. Weight: 1 Kg (+ 0,5 Kg of lead to get the C.G. in the proper position). Paint scheme: The finished model is painted in the scheme suggested in Monogram Close Up #12 Ho229 by David Myhra. Spotting the little camouflaged model against woods in the background will not be easy though.

Plans in Italian. Don't bother thinking to add fan units to this plane. It is designed as a sloper.
