R1 Chambermaid by Bernard Guest
Description: This is a neo-dimescale version of the R1 chambermaid. The plan is partially based on the famous Bill Henn 22 inch plan for his FAC mass launch chambermaid. This dimer version has a more accurate scale fuselage shape and of course a dimescale minimalist structure. The prototype was built with ordinary wood (not contest wood) and cam out at 20 grams ready to fly (needed 2 grams of clay on the spinner). I had several flights of over 80 seconds and few over two minutes on the first day out with the model. I have flown her with three grams of 1/8th as well as a 6 gram 4x2mmx23 inch motor. On both motors she can easily do over 90 seconds.

Fine work BG

This is a very well done plan and should make many builders want to give it a go.

printing the Cmaid

Hi All,
The plan is set up for A3 paper...if you want to print on 11X17 then you have to set the page size to 11x17 and make sure that it does not auto scale....I have not tried 11x17 so it may be easiest buy a few sheets of A3 or have it printed at kinkos/your local retail printshop on A3.

If problems persist i can do a 11x17 version for whoever needs one.
