strictly speaking... it's not exactly an...
either. Closer to Mustang I. Lose the nose guns and fit with wing mounted cannon, it's a Mustang II or
P-51 (no letter designation). P-51A followed the A-36 and was, IIRC, the fifth distinct production Mustang variant.
