P40 Q
Description: The P40 Q is the last of the many so do it with respect (cue the Aretha Franklin!)

19" WS

The longer nose is great for ballasting and balancing yer plane eliminating the need for clay, yeay!

Be sure and do the sharks teeth one of the three versions had it. The wing radiators were just beside the landing gear wheels and were built into the wing so only the entrance needs to be shown

I've built this plane at least 4 times and it is a great flyer indoors or out.

I use the box construction for the fuselage and then cut top and bottom formers to fit

For those using the half sheet method I have made every effort to draw accurate profiles but please test yer formers first as adjustments may be necessary

further design notes

I'd like to bring your attention to some inaccuracies. The rudder post must be moved back to 2 1/2 inches form f8. the stabilizer must be decrased in width from 3 inches to 2 1/2 inches. the fin portion must be made 1/2 inch wider so the total width of the fin/rudder is 3 inches at its widest.

I will post a new dwg after I have tested these changes.

the plane as is is still a good flier so enjoy. ..... JIM
