possibly a hoax
If you read issue 93 of the Flying Aces Club News, it implies that this plan isn't a real Comet plan from back in the '30s, but a "fake". However, I think a bunch of people believed it to be authentic. Certainly I did, and I have a kit from Scale Flight Model that makes no mention of this. In issue 298, Stew Meyers asserts that it was a fake done by Dave Stott. If it's a fake, it's a very convincing one.You can download issue 93, but not issue 298, here:
