Fuselage is not scale
The J-3, has a smaller engine, narrow fuselage and tandem seating for two. Pilot and Passenger. The Super Cub on the other hand has a larger fully cowled engine, a wider fuselage, and seating for 3 people. Two normal size in the rear seat, or One Only Wideglide , and one pilot in the front seat. It appears that most model mfg's do not know this and simply modify their J-3 kit from below the windshield forward. Any other plane is a modified J-3. No big deal I guess, but it amuses me.

Fuselage not scale?
This is one of the few Piper super cub plans with a true scale fuselage cross section shown at the cabin area. Mid section being wider than the top and bottom measurements.
The Piper Super Cruiser, not the Super Cub was the 3 place cub.
Piper Super Cub was also tandem seating like the J3 Cub.
