Saunders Roe Type 45 Princess (3 view)
Description: Saunders Roe Type 45, Princess flying Boat. 3 built, one completed & flown. 10 turboprop engines, 8 in four coupled pairs driving 16' dia contra props plus 2 singles in the outer nacelles. The only flying boat to use a semi circular, fully faired step to reduce drag, a result of UK WW2 research into step design.
Maybe somewhat ambitious for a powered model, but possible with electrics now that contra prop systems are available. Has been modelled as a PSS, would be a sure show stopper on the slope.
